"Acharya Nagarjuna University was inaugurated in September 1976 by the former President of India, Sri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed. Acharya Nagarjuna University is located in Nagarjuna Sagar, on the Northern part of Guntur. ANU since then has grown into a large University with 39 Academic departments including several self financed courses, which started opreating since 1992. The University has well maintained hostels for the accommodation of students.
